We could not have asked for a better event to close out the 2023 car event season in the Alleghany Highlands. The 2nd Annual Holiday Hot Rod Round Up was an outstanding success. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny, 80 degree day and a total of 86 show vehicles came out. The event was held as a fund raiser for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program that benefits area children in need during the Christmas season. The fund raising efforts were very successful. There are so many people to thank. First of all a big shout out to Thomas Smalls and everyone at the Covington Department of Parks & Recreation for their assistance. The Jackson River Sports Complex is a class one facility for hosting a quality car show. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, without your help events like this would not be possible. We would like to thank SLYZ BBQ, FLURRIES INC, JKK Concessions, and the Salvation Army for providing excellent food service. We would like to thank all of our vendors and we hope each of you had a successful day. We would like to thank Good News Church for assisting with our children's activities. A big shout out to our very own Eugen "The Lone Wolfe" WIndsor for providing excellent D.J. services. We have said so many times,, that a local car event just does not seem complete without Eugene at the D.J stand. Of course we wold like to thank all of our entrants, many of you came from out of town to spend the day with us and we are extremely grateful. Lastly we would like to thank the residents of Alleghany County that came out and supported this great event.. This event nearly doubled in size from it's first year and we are excited to see what next years edition will hold.
